Twin 5 year olds suffering from NP-C often referred to as childhood Alzheimers have been admitted to a Reno hospital and are to be treated with an experimental drug-with permission from FDA- there being little else option. The FDA has cleared them for intravenous infusions of the drug cyclodextrin, that has been been proved successful in laboratory tests. The parents of the twins are optimistic.
